Lexie at about 4 months old, right after we brought her home

Lexie came to live with us in late October 2004, when she was about four months old; prior to that, she spent some time in the local shelter. She is a lovely West Virginia River Mutt, who may or may not have Chow/Golden Retriever/Belgian (Laekenois)/German Shepherd/Collie ancestry.

Lexie is happiest when spending time with any of her four-legged friends, especially Max and Thor, Wadsworth and Fiona, Loki and Quesar. Any day that includes chasing deer, pouncing on the meadow for voles and a dip in the river is a really good day.

Lexie had some big paws to fill -- she was preceded by our beloved German Shepherd, Bear, who died in 2003.
